For my children

I AM. a Drummer. 19. a Californian. a Christian. Josh Redd.

My inspiration to start blogging came from a desire to write a book about the last year of my life. It has been a year of continual adventure and growth and it’s not about to stop anytime soon! I wanted to write describing the incredible places God has taken me and the amazing things He’s done through this 19 year old drummer, specifically for my kids. No i’m not a 19 year old father! But i have a terrible memory, and if you can’t remember events in your life, they might as well have never happened! I want my kids to know my story and somehow encourage them at a young age that God will use them and their gifts no matter their age, whether 9 or 90.

I AM. excited to begin documenting my adventures through this blog, but that’s not all you can expect from this site.
The vision of this blog is to break down the walls between a performing musician and the audience, a barrier of a “rockstar mentality” that has been given to musicians on stage. I truly believe as this blog continues to grow, a reader will begin to see that I am a person that has somehow found favor with God to use my passion for music as my livelihood.
It’s not by my own power that I am here!

15 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, โ€œI have had a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you that you can understand a dream, to interpret it.โ€
16 So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, โ€œIt is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.โ€
(Genesis 41:15-16, New King James Version)
